I – Initiating element, e.g. emergency exit switch acc. to 60947-5-5
L – Locking element e.g. holding magnet, emergency exit strike etc.
C – Control Unit

Certfied technical dependent systems also include:
O – Operating element e.g. door handle, panic bar

Compared with the German EltVTR, EN13637 offers mutiple advantages. First of all products certified acc. to EN13637 can be sold all over Europe. Then EN 13637 offers a number of new features such as time delay and denied exit for special applications where even higher deterrents are needed.
